Palace of orphans gets new facilities

New facilities were inaugurated on 16 February in the Palace of Orphans named after UAE President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahayan. They were built by Turkish company Ekol Ihrajat Ithalat we Tijaret LTD Sti.

These are a conference room for 500 people, a building for labor education, a water sports facility, a new medical room, a laundry, a sauna, a food storage, a greenhouse and garage. There were also built a tennis court, a few grounds for various sports, summer houses and canopies.

A new PAZ-32054 bus was presented to the orphanage on behalf of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov.

It should be recalled that the Palace of Orphans opened in 1998. It is located in the Kopetdag foothills. The orphanage was built with funds provided by the UAE government. The orphanage graduated more than 200 children, many of whom got higher education in Turkmenistan”s higher education establishments. In 2009, 51 children will graduate from the orphanage, the Turkmen State News Agency (TDH) reports.
