A set of bilateral documents will be signed on results of the official visit of the Belarusian President to Turkmenistan. Alexander Lukashenko will arrive in the Turkmen capital this evening. His visit will last until 19 June.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the summit “is designed to give new impetus to the dialogue of partner-countries seeking to develop relations both on bilateral and multilateral basis within the framework of major international and regional organizations”.
At present, Turkmenistan exports fuel and energy, agriculture, textile and chemical products to Belarus. Turkmenistan imports from Belarus predominantly equipment, vehicles, food and household goods, as well as chemical products.
Turkmenistan has registered 8 enterprises with the participation of the Belarusian capital, and 9 investment projects with participation of Belarusian companies worth US $ 17.4 million implemented in the oil and gas industry, transport, communications, energy and other spheres.
