Kadyrbek Sarbaev, the Kyrgyz Minister for Foreign Affairs says the transit traffic center in Manas airport (Kyrgyzstan) will cost the U.S. up to $60 million per year.
In terms of the bilateral agreement signed the United States are going to sponsor construction of the parking lot for the aircrafts and a warehouse at $36.6 million. “The U.S. congress has recently approved a $30 million purchase of air navigation equipment for the new transit traffic center at Manas,” the minister said.
Moreover in 2009 Kyrgyzstan will receive $20 million for the Kyrgyz-American economic development center establishment. “Therewith the U.S. government issues Kyrgyzstan $21.5 million for drug trafficking control and $10 million for fight against terrorism,” Sarbaev added.
