DUSHANBE, June 8, 2011, Asia-Plus — Czech company, Victoria Project, plans to build five small hydropower plants in Tavildara district, eastern Tajikistan.
According to Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) press office, this issue was discussed during a meeting of Tavildara district chairman Hikmatsho Ghayratov with top managers of Victoria Project.
Ghayratov reportedly got acquainted with output of Victoria Project at the ongoing international fair, InterLegProm 2011, in Dushanbe.
Hikmatsho Ghayratov and the Victoria Project director general Jan Cecil reached an agreement on construction of five small hydropower plants in Tavildara.
The construction work will commence after signing of a tripartite agreement between the Tavildara district government, CCI and Victoria Project on cooperation in designing, constructing and operating small hydropower plants. It is to be noted that three small hydropower plants are expected to be introduced into operation by the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence (September 9, 2011), the source said.
