DUSHANBE, August 25, 2011, Asia-Plus — On August 23, the Khujand-Dushanbe flight was delayed for 2 hours and twenty minutes for technical problems.
According to the limited liability company, Charter, Antonov AN-24 with 33 passengers on board was supposed to fly to Dushanbe at 8:00 am but the flight was delayed for 2 hours and twenty minutes for technical problems. “There were problems with engine start,” the source said.
One of passengers who refused the flight told Asia-Plus that flight attendant had told her in a whisper that it would be better to leave the plane. Six passengers left the plane, while the remainder flew to Dushanbe, the woman said.
Tajik Air confirmed that the flight delay had been caused by technical problems. “But not the engine start was the problem,” said the Tajik Air representative, “If there had been problems with engine start, the plane would not have flown and all passengers would have been asked to leave it. As soon the technical defects were removed, the plane flew to Dushanbe without any problems.”
