The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) railway companies have adopted a tariff policy for rail freight in 2023.
Citing the Belarusian railways, the CIS Executive Committee says the tariff policy of the railways of the CIS member nations was adopted at the tariff conference of the railway administrations of the CIS countries that took place on November 1. The tariffs for international freight transportation for the 2023 freight year were reportedly determined.
The functions of the management of work related to the tariff policy in 2023 have been entrusted to the railway administration of Kazakhstan (KTJ).
The tariff policy was developed in accordance with the basic principles of determining the agreed tariff policy for railway transport of the CIS member nations. It was approved by the Council of Heads of State of the CIS in October 1996.
