Entrepreneurs from Russia’s Altai Krai to visit Tajikistan next week to discuss cooperation

A delegation of entrepreneurs from Russia’s Altai Krai will arrive in Tajikistan on April 10 on a four-day visit to discuss with representatives of the Tajik business community state and prospects of further expansion of the mutually beneficial cooperation, get acquainted with business and investment climate in Tajikistan and seek business partners, according to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan (CCI).

On April 10, bilateral meetings between members of the Altai delegation and representatives of the Tajik business circles are expected to take place in Dushanbe, at Rumi Hotel.

After Dushanbe, the Russian entrepreneurs are expected to visit the Tajik northern city of Khujand, where also meetings between the entrepreneurs of the two countries will take place in a B2B format, according to the CCI press center.

The Altai delegation members reportedly include senior representatives of six large and medium-sized companies and enterprises, namely: 1) Barnaul Chemical Plant; 2) Nitrogen Limited Liability Company (LLC) — production of mortar nodes for the preparation of liquid complex fertilizers; 3) Dve Linii (Two Lines – cosmetic company) LLC — natural cosmetics with a scientific approach; 4) Rusgruz LLC (3PL logistics operator) — complex solutions for the delivery of goods by rail, sea and road transport across Russia, near and far abroad;  5) Altayskiy Pivnoi Dom LLC — production and sale of natural drinks: beer, kvass, lemonade, drinking, mineral and medicinal table waters; 6) IP Ankushev A. Ya. — supply of environmentally friendly, useful and high quality agricultural products throughout Russia and for export.

Altai Krai is a federal subject of Russia (a krai).  It borders clockwise from the west, Kazakhstan (East Kazakhstan Region and Pavlodar Region), Novosibirsk and Kemerovo Oblasts, and the Altai Republic.  The krai's administrative center is the city of Barnaul.

The krai is favorably located close to major sources of raw materials, has a well-developed infrastructure, especially in the area of heavy industry, and an abundance of natural resources. It is a major industrial and agricultural region of the country.  There are more than 2000 industrial companies operating in both heavy and light industry.  The leading sectors are the power, engineering, chemical and petrochemical, building material, textile, and light industries.  This increase is particularly noticeable in the flour-, grain-, and feed-milling and chemical and petrochemical industries and in individual heavy industry sectors, tractor production.  Small and medium business is developing rapidly in Altai Krai, which is a necessary condition for economic stability and growth.
