47 people killed and 179 others injured in 163 traffic accidents reported in Tajikistan this year so far

-Plus – One person was killed in a traffic accident in Yovon district of Khatlon yesterday.  

According to information from the Tajik traffic police press service, Mahmadrahim Elbegiyev driving a sedan “Nexia” along the road from


Dushanbe


to Yovon could not control the car and ran into the 62-year old Ivan Kovalchuk.  Kovalchuk was taken to central district hospital in Yovon, where he died from wounds received.  The cause of the accident is under investigation.  

According to the Tajik traffic police, four traffic accidents were registered in


Tajikistan


last day.  One person was killed and three others were injured in those accidents.  

Since the beginning of the year, 163 traffic accidents have been registered in the republic.  47 people have been killed and 179 other have been injured in those 163 accidents.
