Prime minister visits Hamadoni to study progress of construction of riverbank protection works




DUSHANBE


, March 6, Asia-Plus – On Saturday March 4, a government delegation led by Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov visited the Hamadoni district to study a progress of the construction of the riverbank protection works, presidential press service reported.

Oqilov demanded at a meeting that was held on the site that the work on reinforcement of banks of the


Panj


River


and the canal Dehqonobod in Hamadoni should have been finished by April 10.       

According to the source, at present 1,400 workers from 24 construction sub-units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Land Reclamations and Water Recourses, and other relevant organizations are working on reinforcement of banks of the river and the canal.  75 bulldozers, 35 excavators and other special machines have been involved in the construction of the riverbank protection works in the district.  

We will recall that the government provided 30 million Somonis and to date, 10 million Somonis have already been spent.
