One killed, six injured in Hissor traffic accident

DUSHANBE, May 26, Asia-Plus – One person was killed and at least six others were injured Thursday [May 25] as two cars collided in the Hissor district (central Tajikistan), some 17 kilometers west of Dushanbe, according to information from Tajik traffic police.  

The accident took place yesterday afternoon on the 22

nd

kilometer of the highway from



Dushanbe


to Tursunzoda.  According to the source a car “Daewoo-Nexia” driven by Farrukh Davlatov appeared to have gone into oncoming traffic and collided with a car “VAZ-2108”.  As a result of the collision driver of the car “VAZ-2108” died on the spot.  Driver of “Daewoo-Nexia” and his five passengers received various wounds and were taken to the central district hospital in Hissor.  The cause of the accident is under investigation. 

In total, five traffic accidents were reported in

on May 25.  One person was killed and 11 others were injured in those accidents.
