Two killed, two injured in Ayni traffic accident




DUSHANBE


, July 3, Asia-Plus — Two were killed and at least two others were injured Sunday [July 2] as a sedan “Opel” went into oncoming traffic in the Ayni district (Sughd province), according to information from Tajik traffic police department.

to Khujand, on the Anzob pass.  The Opel driven by Suhbat Qosimov appeared to have gone into oncoming traffic and collided with sedan

“GAZ-31029”.  As a result of the collision, two passengers of the Opel, a 51-year-old Inobat Abdurrahmonova and her 20-year-old son Inoyat died on the spot.  Two other passengers of the Opel received various wounds and were taken to the central district hospital in Varzob.  The cause of the accident is under investigation. 

All in all, 655 traffic accidents have been registered in


Tajikistan


since the beginning of this year.  186 people have been killed and 766 others have been injured in those accidents, according to the source.
