KHOROG, December 28, 2009, Asia-Plus — Two traffic accidents that took place in Gorno Badakhshan last Saturday left four dead and one injured, according to the GBAO traffic police department.
“On December 26, Chinese-made minivan moving from the Rushan district to the city of Khorog fell into the Panj River; three passengers were killed in this traffic accident,” the GBAO traffic police chief
Bandali Bandaliyev said.
Another traffic accident took place the same day on the way from Khorog to the Roghtqala district. One person was killed and one other was injured as truck ZIL and Chinese-made minivan collided.
According to Bandaliyev, 47 traffic accidents have been registered in the region since the beginning of this year. 35 persons have been killed and 58 other persons have been injured in those accidents.
