DUSHANBE, November 18, 2013, Asia-Plus – The bodies of two Tajik migrant workers who were killed in the Chelyabinsk oblast, Russia on November 12 were transported to Tajikistan by the Chelyabinsk-Khujand flight on November 17, Mohammad Egamzod, a spokesman for the Tajik Embassy in Moscow, told Asia-Plus today morning.
The Tajik Embassy in Moscow said on November 13 that two Tajik migrant workers – Abdumannon Sanginboyev, 31, and Sayriddin Mutrifov, 23, (both of them are residents of the village of Mogiyon in the Panjakent district, Sughd province) – were found dead at the town of Kaigorodovo, Russia”s Chelyabinsk Oblast on November 12
Russian law enforcement officials say their injuries indicated they had been severely beaten. Russia”s Investigative Committee said that two local men, whose names were not released, were detained as suspects.
Investigators said the two Tajik migrants may have been killed during an attempt by the two suspects to steal scrap metal.
The Tajik Embassy in Msocow reportedly keeps this case under its control.
