DUSHANBE, April 28, 2014, Asia-Plus — Sixteen Tajik migrant workers were hospitalized in the Russian city of Chelyabinsk on April 26 on suspicion of contracting an acute food poisoning, the Chelyabinsk police department press center reported.
According to the report, police has launched an investigation into the incident. “Foreign workers working with the ferroconcrete structures plant live in the territory of the plant and good living conditions have been organized for them; all food products are stored in the refrigerator,” the report said.
“The migrant workers were rushed to the emergency hospital and physicians suggested the diagnosis of an acute food poisoning; however, another diagnosis is not ruled out,” the report noted.
Tajik Embassy in Moscow has not yet commented on that incident.
