Two persons were killed and four others injured on April 22 as Toyota Camry crashed into Opel-Vectra in Dushanbe, the Dushanbe Police Directorate’s press center reports.

The accident reportedly took place on the Ismoili Somoni Avenue, near the Dushanbe’s Central Stadium at 9:10 pm.

Toyota Camry, driven by Abubakr Tourayev, 19, appeared went into oncoming traffic and crashed into Opel-Vectra, reportedly driven by Parviz Sharifzoda, 29.

As a result of the collision, two persons, including Parviz Sharifzoda, were killed and for others were injured.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Parviz Sharifzoda was an employee of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Tajikistan.

Radio Liberty’s Tajik Service, known locally as Radio Ozodi, citing the Interior Ministry, says Parviz Sharifzoda, the son of Tajikistan’s Constitutional Court Judge Asror Sharifzoda, was a passenger.  A source at the state authority that deals with road accidents reportedly told RFE/RL's Tajik Service that another Sharifzoda relative was killed in the incident, but that could not initially be confirmed.
