Investigation of former head of Khujand legal advice office complete, case moves to court

KHUJAND, January 26, Asia-Plus – Aide to Sughd Prosecutor, Asadullo Urunov, has told Asia-Plus that investigation of former Khujand legal advice office head Fayzinisso Vohidova’s case has been complete and on January 25, the case moved to a court in Khujand.   

“The court will appoint judge to take on trial and set the date of the beginning of the trial,” Urunov said.   

According to him, Ms. Vohidova faces charge under two articles of

’s Criminal Code: Article 253 (causing loss by way of deception or breach of confidence with abuse of office) and Article 340 (forgery, production or sale of forged documents).  

We will recall that Sughd regional prosecutor’s office instituted criminal proceedings against Ms. Fayzinisso Vohidova in October last year.  She was accused of holding fake qualification.  According to the Sughd authorities, using a fake diploma she worked as lawyer from 1988 to
