DUSAHNBE, April 17, Asia-Plus – Tajik prosecutors have instituted 134 criminal proceedings on corruption charges over the past three months, Abdurrasul Kholmurodov, head of the corruption-prevention department of Tajik Prosecutor-General’s Office, announced at a news conference in
Dushanbe
on April 17.
According to him, it is eight cases more compared to the same period of last year.
“Of this criminal proceedings, 46 have been instituted against some 60 people on charges of abuse of power,” Kholmurodov said.
The prosecutor also noted that one official with prosecutor’s office had been detained over the same three-month period on suspicion of having been involved in corruption.
