DUSHANBE, July 18, Asia-Plus — In January-June 2006, 6,250 crimes have been registered in Tajikistan, which is 2.8 percent fewer compared to same period of the last year, Tajik Minister of Interiors, Khumdin Sharipov, told journalists on July 17.
According to him, compared to January-June 2005 a rate of detection of deliberate killings has increased by 4,5 percent and amounted to 64.2 percent, crimes that entailed serious bodily injury – by 1.3 percent and amounted to 68.8 percent, rapes – by 16.9 percent and amounted to 75 percent, robberies – by 4.4 percent and amounted 47.4 percent.
