QURGHON TEPPA, February 15, Asia-Plus — Officers from the Khatlon anticorruption agency have detained Ghayrtali Hotamov, the head of the coalfield Koni Angisht in Khatlon’s Shuroobod district, who is suspected of having embezzlement of 50,000 somonis.
The source at the Khatlon anticorruption directorate said that criminal proceedings had been instituted against Hotamov on charge of embezzlement of state funds, and an investigation is under way.
