DUSHANBE, December 17, 2008, Asia-Plus — The body of a year-old baby with signs of violent death was found in one of areas of Khujand, Sughd province yesterday night, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
Mahmadullo Asadulloyev, a spokesman for a MoI, said that medical examination had established that the baby had been killed by suffocation.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted under the provisions of Article 104 (killing) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code and an investigation is under way.
