DUSHANBE, May 18, 2011, Asia-Plus — Tajik Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov departed for Minsk, Belarus today morning to attend the 57th session of the CIS Council of Heads of Government that will open there tomorrow, according to the Tajik Prime Minister Secretariat.
The source says 19 issues have been tabled to the session’s agenda. The meeting participants will focus on economic relations among the CIS member states. They will discuss a draft treaty on free economic zone and a draft interstate program for innovation cooperation designed for the period until 2020.
The CIS Council of Heads of Government will also provide an update on the interstate exhibition dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the CIS that will take place in Moscow from June 28 to July 3. The exhibition will consist of two main parts: 1) the central part; and 2) national expositions.
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine will take part in the national expositions, the source added.
