President urges to speed up work on planting trees along roads leading to Tajik capital




DUSHANBE


, February 10, Asia-Plus – Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov presided over a working meeting with participation of ministers of agriculture, land reclamation and water resources, head of Tajik central bank, head of the committee for land-tenure regulations, as well as heads of districts subordinate to the center and other officials on February 9.

According to presidential press service, Rahmonov demanded at the meeting that work on planting trees, improvement and development of unused lands and rehabilitation of abandoned gardens should be speeded up.  

The meeting also focused on the issues related to combating pests, growing high-quality seeds, as well as making preparations for sowing campaign and opportunely providing farming units with fuel and fertilizers.
