DUSHANBE, May 5, Asia-Plus – Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov today took part at a business-forum of Tajik and Kazakh entrepreneurs in Astana, presidential press service reported.
According to the source, Rahmonov hailed a level of economic cooperation between business circles of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan. Telling the forum, Rahmonov noted that at present Kazakh entrepreneurs could take part in various investment projects aimed at enhancement of Tajikistan’s energy sector, development of natural resources, tourism, and processing of farm produce in Tajikistan.
Today’s negotiations between President Rahmonov and his Kazakh counterpart, Nursultan Nazarbayev, in Astana resulted in signing a number of bilateral cooperation document. The presidents also signed a joint statement.
The cooperation documents signed in Astana today included government-to-government agreements on labor migration and protection of rights of labor migrants, on international automotive communication, mutual protection of secret information, on cooperation and exchange of information in fighting economic crimes and violation of tax legislation.
Besides, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Education and Science and Tajikistan’s Youth Committee signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of state youth policy, and Labor Ministries of the two countries signed an agreement on mutual cooperation.
