DUSHANBE, December 1, Asia-Plus – On Thursday November 30, President Emomali Rahmonov signed edicts on relieving of the Prime Minister and other members of the Government, and on improvement of the structure of central bodies of the executive power.
By president’s edict on the government structure it will consist of bodies at the president, ministries, central committee, committees and bodies at the government.
The bodies at the president include the Administration for Public Service, the Agency to Fight Corruption and Economic Crimes and the Drug Control Agency.
Under this edict 14 ministries, including Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Land Reclamation and Water Service, Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Transport and Communications; Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Energy and Industry, were formed.
Three state committees include State Committee for National Security, State Committee for Statistics and State Committee for Investments and Management of the State-owned Property.
13 committees were formed at the government. Among them are Tax Committee, Committee for Women Affairs’ and Family, Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism, Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting, Committee for Emergency Situations, Customs Service, Agency for Land-tenure Regulations, Agency for Geodesy an Cartography, Agency for Construction and Architecture, Agency for Standardization and Metrology, Certification and Trade Inspection, as well Chief Archives Administration, Chief Geology Administration and Chief Administration for Protection of State Secrets.
Structure of other state bodies of the executive power includes the Council of Security and the Council of Justice.
The ministries of security, communications, state revenues and tax collections, economy and trade, agriculture, emergency situations, land reclamation and water economy, transport, energy and industry, as well as state committees for land-tenure regulations, management of state-owned property, environmental protection and forestry, border protection committee, as well as the state finance control committee were abolished.
