Government to appoint heads of committees today

DUSHANBE, December 5, Asia-Plus – President Emomali Rahmonov is presiding over a meeting of the Government today afternoon, presidential press service reported.

The new government will pass resolutions on appointing heads of committees and agencies at the government.   

We will recall that the president issued a series of decrees on November 30 abolishing or restructuring a number of ministries and committees.  The Ministry of State Revenues and Tax Collections was abolished and its functions were redistributed to Tax Committee and Customs Service.  The committees of sports and physical Training and youth were combined into the committee for youth, sports and tourism.  The Ministry of Emergency Situations was restructured into the Committee of Emergency Situations, and the Committee of Land-tenure Regulations and the National Agency for Space, Geodesy and Cartography were combined into a single agency – Agency for Land-tenure Regulations, Geodesy and Cartography.
