DUSHANBE, February 22, Asia-Plus – The ninth session of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) has elected new judges and deputy chairmen of the Supreme Court and the Higher Economic Court upon the recommendation of the president.
On Thursday February 22, the Majlisi Milli session elected Naim Mansourov, formerly first deputy chairman of the Higher Economic Court, first deputy chairman of the Supreme Court.
Salimboy Fathilloyev was elected first deputy chairman of the Higher Economic Court. Fathilloyev had previously been deputy chairman of the Constitutional Court.
The session also elected Roshiddin Turayev and Yusuf Salimov judges of the Supreme Court.
The Majlisi Milli also recalled judge of the Constitutional Court, Khursheda Komilova, and judge of the Supreme Court, Farhod Ziyodulloyev.
