Bokhtar mayor replaced

President Emomali Rahmon continues reshuffling officials.

A source within the Khatlon regional administration says that by president’s decree Sijouddin Salomzoda has been relieved of his post of Mayor of Bokhtar, the capital of Khatlon Province in connection with transfer to other job.

Sijouddin Salomzoda was appointed acting Chairperson of Bobojon-Ghafourov District in Sughd Province.

Faizullo Barotzoda, who had previously served as Chairperson of Lakhsh District (Rasht Valley), was appointed acting Mayor of Bokhtar.

“Barotzoda had earlier worked at the Khatlon regional administration.  He started his career here as an ordinary specialist and rose to the rank of first deputy mayor of the city,” said the source.  “Prior to appointment to the post of Chairperson of Lakhsh District, Barotzoda had served as Frist Deputy Chairperson of Roudaki District.”
