Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzda, who had previously served as Deputy Minister of economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, has been appointed Deputy Mayor of Dushanbe, replacing Dilshod Odinazoda.
He will be charge of issues related to development of industry in the Tajik capital.
Abdurahmonzoda had served as Deputy Minister of economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan since 2020.
Prior to this he served as Chairperson of the Directorate for Cooperation with the World Trade Organization (WTO) at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (2018 — 2020).
In 2017-218, Abdurahmonzoda served as Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, Switzerland.
In 2015-2017, he served as chief specialist within the Directorate for Cooperation with the World Trade Organization, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan.
Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda, 35, is a native of the city of Kulob, Khatlon province. He graduated from New York Institute United States in 2010 with honor degree in world economy and the Tajik National University in 2012 with master degree in economic development.
It is to be noted that Dushanbe mayor has six deputies: one first deputy mayor and five deputy mayors.
