CA regional security issues to be discussed in Moscow next week

DUSHANBE, February 19, 2011, Asia-Plus  — Chiefs of staff of national antiterrorist centers from the CIS nations will gather in Moscow on February 21-22 to discuss measures to provide security against threats of terrorist acts during mass and sports events, according to the CSI Executive Committee.

Issues related to providing regional security in Central Asia are also on the meeting’s agenda.  Besides, the meeting participants will also consider organization of international search for persons committing terrorist acts in the CIS nations and problems of combating cyber-terrorism.

Organized by the CIS Antiterrorist Center, the meeting is expected to result in working out a final document that will be submitted for consideration to the next meeting of the council of heads of security bodies and special services of the CIS member nations.
