DUSHANBE, September 30, 2011, Asia-Plus  — Officers from the State Committee for National Security have seized 24 kilograms of narcotics in recent days and seven drug pushers have been arrested, the SCNS press center reports.

Kulob resident Aminjon Avazov, 22, was reportedly detained in Muminobod district, Khatlon province.  “Several packages containing 15 kilograms of raw opium and two kilograms of cannabis were found hidden in his car,” the source said, adding that Komiljon Davlatov, who was released from jail under the amnesty in August, is wanted on suspicion of having been involved in that crime.

Four drug pushers were detained in Dushanbe and more than five kilograms of hashish were confiscated from them, the SCNS press center said.

Besides, the SCNS officers have detained Uzbek national Sadullo Khojayev in Dushanbe.  Khojayev attempted to transport two kilograms of heroin to Khujand in oven.
