KHUJAND, February 15, 2011, Asia-Plus — The US$998,000 worth of medicines and medical materials for Sughd province have been delivered to Khujand through the Project Hope, the Sughd health directorate head Dalil Toshmatov said.
According to him, the assistance includes 48 items of medicines and medical materials that will be distributed to medical facilities in cities and districts of northern Tajikistan.
“Part of this humanitarian aid will be sent to two emergency aid stations that have been established on the Ayni and Shahriston passes to provide medical aid to victims of traffic accidents and natural disasters,” Toshmatov said.
