KHUJAND, June 10, 2011, Asia-Plus — Ms. Faroghat Musbirova from Khujand asks those guilty to pay compensation to her eight-year-old daughter Sarvinoz, who became an invalid after she received an electric current rush.
In April, playing with her classmates in the schoolyard, Sarvinoz ran into transformer substation and received a powerful current rush.
“I saw that door is open but it did not know that it is switchboard,” said Sarvinoz, “I touched wares by accident and received electric current rush.”
According to specialists, Sarvinoz fell under high voltage (10,000 volts). According to Faroghat Musbirova, Sarvinoz was in hospital from April 15 to May 11. The fist four days, she was in critical condition. Doctors were forced to amputate her both hands.
Faroghat Musbirova says the Khujand prosecutor’s office has instituted criminal proceedings against two employees of the Khujand power supply network. They face negligence charge. “I do not want anybody to go to prison,” said Musbirova, “Let those guilty pay compensation, my daughter is left without hands. We live modestly and we need funds for treatment, prosthetic appliances.”
As far as Sarvinoz is concerned, she keeps up her spirits and says she is going to go school again, when she has “new hands.”
