DUSHANBE, July 22, 2011, Asia-Plus — An abridge manual for forensic linguistic examination has been published in Tajikistan.
Poulod Nourov, Secretary of Tajik Journalists’ Union, says the manual is necessary especially in the light of increasing number of defamation lawsuits filed against media outlets.
According to him, the manual contains materials about theoretical principles of the forensic linguistic examination, typology of the linguistic examination of cases regarding defaming a person’s honor, dignity or reputation, describes tasks of linguist expert as well as includes extracts from the laws regulating organization and holding of the forensic linguistic examination.
The authors of manual are K. Brinev from Russia’s Association of Linguists-Experts and Teachers, Lexis, and Qironshoh Sharifzoda from Tajik National University.
The manual was published by Tajik Journalists’ Union wit help from Internews Tajikistan under financial support of the United State Agency for International Development (UNDP).
