About 6,300 tons of humanitarian aid delivered to Tajikistan in January-April this year

Fifty countries of the world have provided about 66 million dollars’ worth of about 6,300 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan in January-April this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

In value this is reportedly 3.3 times more than in the same period last year.

Over the first four months of this year, among donor countries the greatest share reportedly came from the United States – 43.7 percent; China – 30 percent; Japan – 6.1 percent; India – 4.1 percent; Sweden – 3.4 percent; Uzbekistan – 2.3 percent; Russia – 2.2 percent; and others.

Meanwhile, relevant government bodies of Tajikistan, including the Agency on the State Material Reserves under the Government of Tajikistan, do not provide information to media on distribution of the received humanitarian aid to the population though this information is not included on the list of information constituting a state secret.
