225 Russia’s nationals visited Tajikistan in January-September this year

870,700 foreign citizens have visited Tajikistan over the first nine months of this year, which was nearly 60.5 percent more than in the same period last year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan (526,700 foreign nationals visited Tajikistan in January-September last year).  

Of those 870,700 foreigners, 685,300 have reportedly visited Tajikistan as tourists.  

Uzbekistan is on the top of the ranking: 575,100 Uzbeks have visited Tajikistan over the first nine months of this year – 66 percent of a total number of foreigners who visited the country over the reporting period.

Uzbekistan is followed by Russia — 225,000 (25.8 percent) and Kazakhstan – 18,000 (2.1 percent).

Besides, 5,400 citizens of the United States (0.6 percent), 5,200 citizens of Turkiye (0.6 percent), 3,500 citizens of Kyrgyzstan (0.4 percent), 2,500 citizens of Afghanistan (0.3 percent) and some others have visited Tajikistan over the same nine-month period.
