About 12 tons of humanitarian aid delivered to Tajikistan in January-October this year

Fifty-nine countries of the world have provided about 120 million US million dollars’ worth of about 12 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan in January-October September this year, according to the Customs Committee under the Government of Tajikistan. 

In value this is 37 million US dollars or 45 percent more compared to the same period last year.

Over the first ten months of this year, among donor countries the greatest share reportedly came from China – 36.6 percent; the United States – 27.9 percent; Belgium – 7.5 percent; India – 5.1 percent; Japan – 4.1 percent; Russia – 3.3 percent; Denmark – 2.3 percent; Sweden – 2.2 percent; the Netherlands – 2.0 percent; Uzbekistan – 1.3 percent; the Republic of Korea – 1.2 percent;  and others. 

Tajikistan belongs to low-income countries, who receive humanitarian aid as well as financial aid from international financial institutions — grants and highly concessional loans, technical aid.
