DUSHANBE, November 19, 2012, Asia-Plus — Tajik law-enforcement authorities have seized some 5,455 kilograms of narcotics in the first ten months of this year, which is some 1,500 kilogram more than in the same period last year, the Drug Control Agency (DCS) press center reports.
A totaled included 483 kilograms of heroin, 598 kilograms of raw opium, and more than 4,374 kilograms of cannabis.
The drug control officers have reportedly seized more than 750 kilograms of drugs over the same ten-month period. Besides, three cases connected with trafficking in synthetic narcotics have been revealed by officers from the counternarcotics agency over the report period, the source added.
