DUSHANBE, December 27, 2012, Asia-Plus – The Migration Service under the Government of Tajikistan and Russia’s insurance company, VSK, have signed an insurance agreement in Moscow.
The document was reportedly inked by Asror Odinayev, head of Tajik migration service agency’s office in the Russian Federation and VSK director general Oleg Ovsyanitskiy.
According to the Migration Service press center, the document provides for protection of socioeconomic interests of Tajik labor migrants.
Odinayev considers that the document will be an important step towards providing access of Tajik labor migrants working in the Russian Federation to high quality medical care services. The agreement, in particular, provides for voluntary medical insurance for Tajik labor migrants.
VSK insurance company has been operating in Russian since 1992 and today it is one of top five national insurance providers. The company offers more than 100 types of modern insurance services. Long term partnership with the leading local and foreign insurance corporations as well as sustainable financial standing confirmed by the most authoritative national rating agency RA Expert – А++ allow IPC VSK taking significant insurance risks. VSK’s regional network reportedly includes more than 800 branches and representative offices. The company is able to maintain insurance agreements, including settlement of damages, in any of the Russian cities. VSK is also one of the top providers of insurance services for the leasing sector.
The Migration Service of Tajikistan reports that over the first eleven months of this year a total of 823,866 persons have left Tajikistan and 575,457 persons have returned.
