On February 11 Tajik Foreign Minister met with top managers of the French “Total” oil and gas company in Paris.


According to Tajik Foreign Ministry, in the course of his official visit to Paris Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi met with senior officials of “Total” oil and gas company – vise president for business development strategy Mr. Olivier de Langnavant, vice president for new contracts and stocks management Mr. Erve Shaneu, vice president Mr. Philip Ergot and director for researches and production Mr. Marc Blezot.


The sides met to discuss potential cooperation between Tajikistan and the company in such spheres as oil production and processing of oil and gas resources.


Tajik Foreign Ministers told about Tajikistan’s investment climate and current condition of the country’s mineral and raw sector. He noted that such well-known companies as TetisPetroleum and Gazprom currently operate in Tajikistan.


Foreign Minister stressed that the republic has reach deposits of natural resources and is ready to establish cooperation in related spheres with the French company.


Vice president Mr. Olivier de Langavant expressed the company’s interest and willingness to establish and develop cooperation with Tajikistan in oil and gas sector.
