DUSHANBE, April 8, 2013, Asia-Plus – Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament, has been elected to head the community of Tajik public institutions’ press centers, replacing Davlat Nazriyev.

Davlat Nazriyev, formerly head of the Tajik MFA information department, has been appointed counselor of the Tajik Embassy in Minsk, Belarus.

The community of Tajik public institutions’ press centers was established earlier this year.  The MFA information department and press centers of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, the Main Border Guard Directorate at the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) and the Committee for Family and Women’s Affairs have initiated the establishment of this community.

The community of Tajik public institutions’ press centers reportedly aims to provide exchange and generalization of information, raise professionalism of spokespersons, and develop a strategy of work with media in order to provide a wide access to socially significant information.
