DUSHANBE, April 18, 2013, Asia-Plus  — Mr. Leigh Turner, HM Consul-General Istanbul and Director-General of Trade for Turkey, Central Asia and the South Caucasus, is arriving in Dushanbe today on a three-day visit.

While in Dushanbe, Mr. Turner will meet with State Advisor to the Tajik President for Economic Matter, Farrukh Hamraliyev, Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Sharif Rahimzoda, Head of the State Committee for Investments and State-owned Property Management, Davlatali Saidov, and Chairman of the Coordination Council of Business Associations of Tajikistan also Head of the Association of Producers of Tajikistan, Zayd Saidov.

Mr. Turner is also scheduled to visit Sughd province to meet with regional governor, Qohir Rasoulzoda.

British Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mr. Robin Jeremy Ord-Smith, notes that Mr. Turner plans to get acquainted with the economic situation of Tajikistan in order to find ways of providing British support for the country’s economic development.

Mr. Leigh Turner took up his post of Consul-General and Director-General for Trade and Investment for Turkey, Central Asia and South Caucasus in September 2012.
