Putin appoints new ambassador to Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, August 2, 2012, Asia-Plus — On Friday August 2, Russian President signed a decree on appointing Igor Lyakin-Frolov Russia’s Ambassador to Tajikistan, Russian news agency Interfax reports. Igor Lyakin-Frolov had previously served as Russia’s Representative to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
