DUSHANBE, December 12, 2013, Asia-Plus – Tajik Minister of Industry and New Technologies Shavkat Boboyev today met here with Chinese Ambassador to Tajikistan Fan Xianrong.

The sides reportedly discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and China in the field of industry and new technologies.

The two, in particular, discussed an opportunity of constructing a metallurgical workshop at the Tajik-Chinese Mining Company in Zarnisor, Sughd province.

Boboyev and Fan also discussed the issue of increasing China’s investments in development of Masrif and Northern Zarnisor deposits located in the Sughd province, a source at the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies said.

They reportedly also agreed to promote further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and China in food industry, building materials production and training of highly skilled personnel for Tajikistan’s industrial sector.
