DUSHANBE, December 31, 2013, Asia-Plus – On Monday December 30, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov received Japan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Hiroyuki Imahashi.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the two discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan.

Aslov and Imahashi reportedly expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Tajik minister appreciated Japanese Government’s support for implementation of various important social projects in Tajikistan and noted that Tajikistan was ready to expand cooperation with Japan on all issues being of mutual interest.

The sides also discussed issues related to further expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan, support for private sector in Tajikistan and attraction of Japan’s investments, the Tajik MFA information department said.
