DUSHANBE, February 12, 2014, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan has been invited to participate in the 4th International Music Festival of the Asia-Pacific Region that will take place in Krasnoyarsk, Russia under patronage of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO from June 26 to July 4 this year.

Mohammad Egamzod, a spokesman for the Tajik Embassy in Moscow, says senior representatives of the Tajik Embassy recently met with representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Ms. Lyudmila Borisova and Ms. Oksana Dayneko.  Issues related to holding the Festival were reportedly a major topic of the meeting.

The organizing committee of the Festival notes that holding the Krasnoyarsk International Music Festival of the Asia-Pacific Region under patronage of Russia’s National Commission for UNESCO will strengthen the status and international fame of the event.  It will contribute to the attraction of the best foreign bands and singers to Krasnoyarsk.

The Festival is reportedly a cultural conversation of the people of the Asia-Pacific region.  It establishes the bridges of friendship, mutual understanding and creative cooperation between representatives from different countries.  The program of the 4th International Music Festival presents different kinds of art — national art and its new interesting interpretations, classic and avant-garde.
