KULOB, August 8, 2008, Asia-Plus — A hotline for labor migrants (93-579-00-16) was opened at the Kulob Civil Society Support Center Shahrvand today.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the Shahrvand Dodarbek Saydaliyev said that hotline is part of work of the information resource center for labor migrants. “It makes available accurate information related to labor migration,” Saydaliyev said
According to him, some 50 residents of Kulob have been sent to work in the Russian regions of Krasnodar, Voronezh and Chelyabinsk due to assistance provided by the center. “All of them have been placed in job and are living in normal conditions,” the Shahrvand head said.
He added that had also established contacts with Russia’s Tatarsta republic. Saydaliyev noted that all negotiations with the Russian Federation are conducted through the state unitary enterprise Tojikkhorijakor (external labor migration).
