DUSHANBE, June 13, 2014, Asia-Plus – An average market purchase rate of the dollar (USD) against the national currency, the somoni (TJS), fell slightly from 1:5.1 on June 6 to 1:5.0925 on June 12, according to the National Bank of Tajikistan.

Tajik central bank notes that the highest market purchase rate between USD and TJS has been reported in the cities of Qurghon Teppa and Khujand – 1:5.1.

In Khujand, the capital of Sughd province the market exchange rate between USD and TJS fell from 1:5.105 on June 6 to 1:5.1 on June 12.

In Qurghon Teppa, the capital of Khatlon province the market exchange rate between USD and TJS fell from 1:5.12 on June 6 to 1:5.1 on June 12.

In Dushanbe, the market exchange rate between USD and TJS fell from 1:5.1 on June 6 to 1:5.09 on June 12.

In Kulob (Khatlon province), the market exchange rate between USD and TJS fell from 1:5.12 on June 6 to 1:5.08 on June 12.

Meanwhile in Khorog, the capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), the market exchange rate between USD and TJS rose from 1:4.97 on June 6 to 1:5.0 on June 12.

An official exchange rate between USD and TJS set by the National Bank of Tajikistan rose from 1:4.9029 on June 6 to 1:9241 on June 13.
