Over 20 law-enforcement and other agency employees of Tajikistan, working in the area of management and security of travel documents, on Friday completed a week-long OSCE training in Dushanbe on detecting and identifying counterfeit travel documents.

As it was reported to Asia-Plus in the OSCE Office in Dushanbe, during the course, Foreign Ministry, Interior Ministry, Border Troops and Customs personnel familiarized with the structure and nature of security features of travel documents and commonly used methods of falsification, as well as effective detection techniques and best practices of travel document inspection.

Meanwhile, the OSCE Office in Tajikistan will provide ten reading devices for the identification of individuals and document verification to the new terminal of the Dushanbe International Airport, which will be opened in September of this year in order to protect them from counterfeiting.

The course was organized within the frame of the activities of the OSCE Division for Border Management in Tajikistan, as planned in 2014.
