DUSHANBE, November 12, 2014, Asia-Plus – On Tuesday November 11, Sharif Said, Chairman of Tajikistan’s Chamber of and Industry (CCI), met here with Iranian trade and economic delegation, led by Razavi Khorasan Province Governor Ali Reza Rashidiyan.
According to the CCI press center, the delegation members include senior representatives of the Razavi Khorasan administration and a number of Iranian large companies and enterprises.
The purpose of the visit is for the delegation to hold talks with senior representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of Tajikistan, participate in Iran Expo 2014 (November 12-15) and business forum Iran-Tajikistan (November 13), visit Tajik enterprises and conduct negotiations with Tajik entrepreneurs.
The sides reportedly discussed issues related to state and prospects of further expansion bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
On the same day, Razavi Khorasan Province Governor Ali Reza Rashidiyan visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
The Tajik MFA information department reports he met with Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister, Nizomiddin Zohidi.
Zohidi and Rashidiyan discussed issues of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the source said.
Ali Reza Rashidiyan, formerly Deputy Minister of Intelligence, was appointed the Governor for the Razavi Khorasan Province in March this year. According to Iranian media sources, in recent years, Rashidiyan had served as the director general of this province’s intelligence agency.
Razavi Khorasan Province (Persian: Ostan-e Khorasan-e Razavi ) is a province located in northeastern Iran. Mashhad is the centre and capital of the province. Razavi Khorasan is one of the three provinces that were created after the division of Khorasan Province in 2004.
