DUSHANBE, November 12, 2014, Asia-Plus – Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda today left for Khorog, the capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) for a two-day working visit. 

The prime minister will meet with regional administrators to discuss issues related to socioeconomic development of the region, Rahmonqul Rahmonqulov, a spokesman for the GBAO governor, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

While in Khorog, Mr. Rasoulzoda will also attend ceremonies of official opening of a number of new facilities, including a maternity department at the regional hospital, a new dormitory for students at the Khorog State University, an apartment building for officers of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS)’s office in Gorno Badakhshan and a service building for the special unit of the Interior Ministry’s office in Gorno Badakhshan, Rahmonqulov said.
